Unbelieveably, I hadn't updated this page since 2000!

Well, enough of that. The bands mentioned therein are long history, and I'm not up to too much musically the last few years. About 10 years ago I took up the violin. I have gotten it up to a level where I can play with others, and I'm generally in tune enough thatr no one winces anymore, but I came to realize that I got too late a start in life to really get good, so I've backed off some.

My only regular gig the last five years has been the Petaluma Farmer's Market, which hires me twice a year, once for each of their venues. Most years I take along a couple of players that I am currently favoring, and last year I did one of them as a single. I got one of the best responses ever, to my surprise. I did the other one with a trio; Accordian and fiddle accompanying my guitar. We went on to do a few more dates but then an emotional storm wedged us, and it's looking like history now.

I recently found a picture of my first serious band, EarthHarp. I'm in front of Shari Ulrich with Philip Ladovsky (bass) on your left and John Lemarquand (drums) on your right. This picture was taken by our manager, Tolling Jennings, in the backyard of the house most of us lived in in Vancouver, BC, circa 1971.
