X-1
I made this one of a kind solidbody in 1978. It's made from Chechen (Black Poison Wood), a Mexican super hardwood, and feature a genuine vintage Gibson humbucker thru a modern Bartolini pre-amp w/V, B, and T which I put in a couple of years ago for the current owner. It originally had a pre-amp I made, but a well intentioned repair-person didn't understand it. The finish is umpteen coats of Watco Oil, and has proven very durable through the years. It shows some handling, but looks as good as it ever did, actually better to my eye. I consider this to be art. This guitar works in a professional manner, you couldn't have a better one assuming you want to rock. $6000, consigned.
