Sexauer Tenor Ukulele - 1/08

Just 'cuz.
Going through my WoodLocker I found some Walnut I deemed below guitar grade, and as I was cutting it up I thought of those many times I passed on some cool wood just because it wouldn't make a guitar.  I used Koa for the headplate and the binding, and probably will for the bridge as well. I am brushing the Varnish, just like old times!
If USPS stamps are any indication, this will be very expensive one day.

I know little about Ukes, actually, so I took it down to Schoenberg's store for camparison. He has about 30 Ukes on hand by a variety of makers, and 5 of them were tenors. I thought the best sounding one he had was an Asturias all-Koa instrument.  And I thought mine compared well, though not as good, and that all the others fell short. All in all, I am quite pleased!
