2008 JB-16 (14 fret)
a Pernambuco/German Spruce
full asymmetric on the Jumbo paradigm.
Here is the fourth guitar I've made on this template. This is the 3rd
guitar from my first chunk of Pernambuco, which I call Crackwood as it
was stored out of doors for 20 years before I got my hands on it.
Despite it's degrade, this is the most musical wood I've ever
encountered, and each of the guitars is truly exceptional. This one is
paired with my 6th to last "Old German" top which has been in
California since 1977 and was high grade for it's time, stellar by
todays standards. The binding/headplates/bridge are made from Dalbergia
Camatillo, perhaps, which is sometimes called Mexican Kingwood.
