Post-Retirement
Retirement
turns out to be a skill I am not ready to work on. I spent a year
trying it out, and let us speak of it no more, at least for the time
being.
I am, however, interested in streamlining my ordering process.
For many years I have offered three guitar sizes at different prices,
all with a common trim package, plus a price structure for just about
any option one could think of. There was also a vague down-scale model
called WRX, pronounced "Works", and intended for the musician who
wanted the goods w/o the bling.
As of now I will have one price for any "Standard" guitar and that can
include a cutaway, sound port, body wedge, or MultiScale, at the
customer's option. Some of my more rare and exotic woods will increase
the price, and the case will be at my cost +10%, as is shipping.
WRX also can also be any size, but will not have any options at
all beyond wood choices, tonal target, and size. The WRX trim package
is simpler, but the construction is identical to my mainstream work.
Nothing is missing that I believe is essential to a first quality
guitar.
While I reserve the right to change the details of my business methods
at any time, I plan to keep this structure for at least a year from
today, which is Feb. 20, 2023.
